This place brings me right back to Germany. supersonic the Jager schnitzel with their brown sauce is on point.
Very nice little Sunday trip into Mount Angel. We enjoyed our sausage and it was cooked to perfection. My sausage was smoked and was wonderful. I really like the fact that the sauerkraut wasn't too strong, but still gave me gas.. We even went into the store area and got ourselves some real half of bison beer which really taste just like the American store-bought but brought home some frozen sausage and yummy desserts so highly recommended.
Great food and even better staff. So kind I had fish and chips today. The fish was good but the cut of the chips made them cook to perfection. The pepperoni fries was a good starter.
Seating - Eating outside was nice and you can people watch and view the sights of the city. Service - We wanted to see the Glockenspiel so they let us walk down the block and watch, come back and pay (and shop). Food - So good. Highly recommend the sausage tour, feeds 2-3 with ease and you get variety. Shopping - Go inside and check out their meats, sausages, market, beers, sweets, take home frozen meals, international food items and so much more.
A lovely place to eat a variety of German fare! You can't go wrong with a vast selection of meats and sausages, sides, and beer to choose from. Being a sausage company and a restaurant, you can also buy your favorite foods in bulk to cook up and enjoy at home! This goes not only for meats, but also for full frozen meals. We were lucky enough to visit on a beautiful day when we could fully enjoy the splendor of the patio seating, complete with the hanging baskets of flowers and warm sunshine. Our orders were taken promptly, and arrived at our table soon after. I haven't had many opportunities to try German food, but based off of my experiences here, I'm eager to try more! Being a big fan of potato salad, I was particularly excited to try German potato salad (served warm), and loved it! Even if you're not located in Mt. Angel, it's worth an hour or so drive to experience the food here.
Love this place! Takes us back to memories of time spent in Bavaria. We started our lunch with an appetizer to share of warm pretzel bites with melted cheese. Delicious! The guys had beer and I had a Radler and our fourth had a hot tea. We all had varieties of sausages. Bockwurst, Bratwurst, and I had a Bratwurst with cheddar and pepper sandwich with grilled onions and sauerkraut. So, so good -Especially on a cold and drizzly day
